okay, so i am home for the summer break. unfortunately, this semester ended real quick, without one single photograph, so for the most part i am out of business right now...
now, i had been real lazy the last winter, and even after photographing a whopping 100-something photographs, i didn't care to put any up on dA. now out of those barely 2-3 would make it to dA anyway, but i didn't do that either, so i'll probably be doing that sometime real soon. so basically its just pushing live previously unpublished work, no real fresh work
now a couple of days back i went to this amazing place with totally astonishing visuals-without my camera. even if i had my camera phone, i could have easily captured some stuff for dA, but then i didn't so what's the point regretting that now.
anyway, coming to the main point, i realized in the past semester at college, that photography doesn't have much scope back at college. i mean, the place has absolutely nothing to capture! you don't have winters or springs or autumns there as you would up here, so seasonal photography is out of question. neither does the place have any sort of natural beauty; in fact the closest place that has some natural beauty is 2000 miles away! there's not even scope to capture the people there, and even the urbanscape isn't all that great awesome. so basically, except for the occasional full moon, there's absolutely nothing interesting. neither are there any historically significant monuments except one, which i'd require a helicopter to capture it whole. so i have decided not to carry my camera back. not worth risk, and i seriously don't like lending my camera to others.
so art in the form is photography is ruled out during my stay, unless some miracle happens. so till then what to do? well, i have decided to try a hand at photomanipulation. i tried out one, and it didn't turn out quite so bad for a first time, so i might as well give it another try. this time, i'll try a few bolder themes, and i'll try to, work on artistically nude themes. I do not know whether or not i shall succeed, or even one piece of such art should go live, but those are my plans right now.
so now, its basically upto some photoshopping. digital art all the way!
